4 months agoOrdered take out from here on January 16th. Received an order confirmation, and when I arrived at the address provided, the food truck did not exist. I asked neighboring food trucks, and they indicated the truck moved earlier in the week. They did not update their address, if they did really move. If they’re closed, they accepted my order and STOLE MY MONEY. The phone number listed does not work, and they have not responded to my Instagram reach outs. Do not order from here. They will just take your money and move on to scam the next person.

8 months agoOrdered online. Its been a while. Portions got a lot smaller. Paid for sauce, didn’t get it. Paid for a tofu order, didn’t get tofu either. Just veg hibachi.

9 months agoHorrible taste and small portions. Don’t waste your money. Also why charge higher hibachi price with no show.

11 months agoHighway Hibachi is hands down one of the best food truck experiences I’ve had! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection right in front of you. The portions are generous and the ingredients taste high quality. The staff is super friendly and efficient—even when there’s a line, they keep things moving smoothly. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and craving something satisfying, hot off the grill. I’ll definitely be back!

The food, staff, service, environment… all amazing and when you get this level of care and attention.. it just makes it all taste so much better. Shout out to Christian! You can see his passion and love for what he does. You earned yourself a repeat customer good sir! If you’re craving hibachi. This is a must!

Edited 11 months agoI was cruising down first street one day with my man and we saw this little food truck park and I’m a sucker for hibachi And took a shot! This is by far the best hibachi that I’ve had here in Austin And it comes from a food truck! The staff is so down to earth and definitely enjoy sitting out and enjoying the company! Please pick up the chicken teriyaki with Yum Yum. Yum sauce.!

a year agoI never leave reviews however I have to say this place is wildly inconsistent. My friends and I all decided to grab food here and all waited almost 30+ minutes for food just for one of our dishes to be a steak fried rice (with no additional vegetables or other things you typically get in fried rice). My friend also ordered the same thing and ended up getting the typical veggies and steak that comes with the fried rice. Overall was okay, but for the time it took for food to cook and what was received doesn’t align.

3 years agoI recently dined at Highway Hibachi and had an absolutely amazing experience! The shrimp hibachi plate was cooked to perfection, with succulent shrimp and a delightful blend of flavors. The pork dumplings were a delicious appetizer that left me wanting more. The service was top-notch, with friendly staff and a dope vibe. I highly recommend Highway Hibachi for anyone craving delicious hibachi cuisine and mouthwatering dumplings. It's a must-visit place downtown Austin. Alex, Andrew and crew are waiting for you.
